The position is located in the company’s CSO organization in Seoul, Korea, which is a relatively flat rganization with multinational diversity. The General Manager will need to coordinate effectively with other departments (businesses, functions) throughout the M&A process. The scope of the deals span across all the new markets the company is entering, which will provide a wide breadth of industry exposure.
Job Description
The key responsibilities of the General Manager include the following:
Develop a strategy for the company’s entry into a new market, including position in the value chain, geography and target business model
Identify potential market entry candidates for acquisition, investment or other transaction structures
Create the business case to support the market entry approach
Initiate and manage the development of the qualitative and quantitative analyses in support of transaction execution
Manage the transaction process, from initial discussions, through due diligence, to closing
Support the development of the integration / acceleration plan for the posttransaction and integration period
Qualifications
Minimum three years of experience from a top Investment Banking or Private Equity program, with proven execution of public and private M&A transactions
Strong analytical skills
Thorough knowledge of accounting, financial modeling and valuation techniques
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal style
Ability to lead teams / project management experience
Someone who can excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-performance work environment
Ability to speak Korean is not required for the role
